The haematocrit is also known as packed cell volume(PCV) or erythrocyte volume fraction (EVF). It's the volume percentage (%) of red blood cells in blood and stands for the degree of blood viscosity.
When the patient's haematocrit lays under 30% or above 55% because he consumes blood thinning medicine, he could get fake measurement data. When there are any doubts, the HCT can be easily analyzed by a doctor.
