Hypertension (high blood pressure) often proceeds without any symptoms or only causes uncharacteristic discomfort. Headaches in the morning are typical and can be reduced by increasing the height of the bed head. More possible symptoms are dizzyness, sickness, nosebleed, fatigue and insomnia.
The consequences of high blood pressure are serious! Next to arteriosclerosis, there could also be damage to the concerned individual's eyes and kidneys. Heart failure often is a consequence of hypertension, too.
Therefore take measurements of your blood pressure regularly!
